BSEB Inter 2024 saw a pass percentage of 87.21: Check the trends of the last 5 years – Times of India | IIT EXPERT

The Bihar School Examination Board on Saturday declared the BSEB Inter exam 2024 result on its official website. Students who appeared for the Bihar Board class 12 exams can check their marksheets by logging in to the BSEB portal. In addition to declaring the results, the BSEB also announced the list of toppers and released statistics about the number of students appearing for the exam, pass percentage and other details.
This year, in 2024, the Bihar Inter exam commenced on February 1, and went on till February 12, 2024.It was reported that a total of 12,916,48 candidates had registered for the exam. Out of which, 11,26,439 candidates have successfully passed the Bihar Board class 12 exam. The overall pass percentage stood at 87.21. Streamwise, the pass percentages are as follows- 86.15 for the Arts stream, 94.88 for the Commerce stream, and 87.80 for the Science stream.
In 2023, the Class 12 exams happened from February 1 to February 11. The results were out on March 21. Around 13,04,586 students sat for these exams, and out of them, 10,91,948 students passed. That makes an overall pass percentage of 82.74. Specifically, in the Arts stream, 6,68,526 students appeared, with 5,53,150 of them passing.
Jumping back to 2022, the Class 12 board exams ran from February 1 to February 14. The results were announced on March 16, 2023. A total of 1,32,579 students from various streams took the Bihar Board Intermediate exam. The overall pass rate stood at 80.15.
In 2021, the Bihar board conducted the Class 12th or intermediate exams from February 1 to 13 across 1,473 centers in the state. The results were declared on March 26. Out of the 13,40,266 students who appeared for the exams, 10,45,950 students passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 78.05.
Moving on to 2020, the BSEB Inter examination took place from February 3 to February 13, involving approximately 12 lakh students across 1,283 centers statewide. Of these, 9 lakh students successfully passed the examination.
Rewinding further back to 2019, the Bihar Board 12th exams were held from February 3 to February 13. Over 12 lakh candidates appeared, with 5.38 lakh being girls and 6.56 lakh being boys. The pass percentage for all students was 79.76. Specifically, in Arts, 4,25,550 students passed; in Commerce, 59,135 passed, and in Science, 5,35,110 students passed. The pass percentages for Arts, Commerce, and Science were 76.53, 93.02, and 81.20, respectively.
