CBSE Class 10 Board Exam result: The Central Board of Secondary Education class 10 Board exam 2024 concluded on March 13, 2024. The exams commenced on February 15. Estimates suggest that this year, close to 20 lakh students had appeared for the CBSE Class 10 Board exams 2024. Last year, 21.65 lakh students had registered and appeared for the CBSE class 10 Board exam.Now that the exam is over, anticipation is high among students about the result date. Here, we are going to discuss the expected result date for the Class 10 Board exam.
Expected date for CBSE 2024 Class 10 result
Last year, the CBSE had released the class 10 Board exam results on May 12, 2023. The class 10 Board exam had commenced on February 14 and went on till March 21, 2023.
This year too, the CBSE is expected to declare the CBSE class 10 result around the second week of May 2024. There is however a possibility of delay in result declaration in 2024 as many schools have not been able to wrap up their practical exams. The Board has decided to extend the deadline for Class 10 practical exams. Schools that have not yet administered these exams can do so by March 31. Schools have until March 31 to upload results for practical exams, project work, and internal assessments for the 2023-24 academic year.

How did the CBSE 2024 Class 10 exams go?
The pressure of performing well in every subject in Board exams is a challenging experience for every candidate. Before every paper, there is a lot of anticipation about how tough or easy. With the exam being over, we are going to share a bird’s eye view on the difficulty level of various papers and student reactions about them.
English: The English Language and Literature paper took place on February 22, 2024. Students were given a 3-hour duration for the paper. The paper had three sections- Reading, Writing & Grammar, and Literature – totalling up to 80 marks. According to students who appeared for the exam and teachers analysing the paper, the exam was balanced and had a mix of competency based questions and textual questions.
Students found the Grammar section easy and scoring. However, the Literature section questions seemed a little lengthy and moderately difficult, according to students. The paper also consisted of two Higher-order Thinking SKills (HOTS) questions.
Science: The class 10 Science exam was scheduled for March 2, 2024. The Science exam consisted of 11 questions and 39 marks. The paper had a duration of three hours. According to student reactions, the paper was moderately complicated, however there weren’t any out of the syllabus questions. Additionally, most of the questions were directly from the NCERT textbook, and students were able to finish the paper on time.
Mathematics: The class 10 Mathematics Basic and Standard papers took place on March 11, 2024. The paper pattern was same for both the papers consisting of 38 questions against 80 marks. The exam drew mixed reactions from students, with some saying that the exam was lengthy and moderately difficult, while some claiming that the paper was manageable but included few questions which were seemingly out of syllabus. The Math exams lasted for a duration of 3 hours.
Social Science: The Class 10 Social Science paper was held on March 7, 2024. Students who took the exam described the paper as well-balanced. And that it consisted of a balanced mix of analytical and application-based questions. The paper was rated as moderately difficult. The CBSE Class 10 Social Science paper lasted three hours and included 37 questions worth a total of 80 marks.
