GUJCET 2024 exam tomorrow: Check important topics for Physics, Math and Chemistry sections – Times of India | IIT EXPERT



GUJCET 2024: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) is set to conduct the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) 2024 for admission to various courses tomorrow, i.e March 31, 2024. The exam was earlier scheduled for the month of April 2024, however due to upcoming Lok Sabha General Elections 2024, the exam date was advanced.
Earlier the GSEB had released the admit cards for the exam.Candidates can log into the official portal of GUJCET and download their respective admit cards.
The Common Entrance Test (CET) will be a Pen and Paper Test (OMR-based) that lasts three hours. The test is divided into three sections: Mathematics (40 questions), Physics (40 questions), and Chemistry (40 questions). All of the questions are multiple-choice. The exam is offered in English, Hindi, and Gujarati. The marking scheme assigns one mark for each correct answer and subtracts 0.25 points for each incorrect answer.
GUJCET Exam pattern
The subject-specific question pattern for the exam is structured as follows: Physics and Chemistry each have 40 questions with 40 marks to complete within 120 minutes. Biology also consists of 40 questions worth 40 marks, with a time limit of 60 minutes. Similarly, Mathematics has 40 questions, 40 marks, and a time limit of 60 minutes.
Important topics for Physics section
Candidates should prepare for the GUJCET 2024 Physics exam by studying important topics such as communication systems, wave optics, atoms, ray optics, and semiconductor electronics. These topics cover critical concepts required for success in the exam. Furthermore, special attention should be paid to Current Electricity and Magnetism & Matter, as these topics have a high weightage and require a thorough understanding to score well in the Physics section of the GUJCET 2024.
Important topics for Mathematics section
Probability, Limit, Matrices, Sets, Relations & Functions, and Vectors are some of the most important topics on the exam syllabus. Each topic contains critical concepts necessary for understanding and mastering the subject matter. Probability is concerned with the likelihood of events occurring, whereas Limit investigates the behaviour of functions as they approach a specific value.
Matrices deal with arrays of numbers and their operations, whereas Sets, Relations, and Functions investigate fundamental mathematical relationships. Finally, vectors are used to represent quantities with both magnitude and direction, and they are a fundamental component of many mathematical applications. Understanding these topics in depth is critical for success on the exam.
Important topics for Chemistry section
Understanding Chemistry’s application in everyday life is critical. Solutions, Polymers, F-Block Compounds, and Chemical Kinetics are examples of key areas that cover practical aspects. Among the most important topics are electrochemistry, biomolecules, and P-block elements – II. These topics cover fundamental concepts and principles, providing insights into their application and significance in a variety of contexts.
