The National Testing Agency (NTA) is scheduled to commence the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main session 2 on April 4. The JEE Mains 2024 admit card is likely to be issued on April 1 (tomorrow). The authorities will update the link to download the JEE Main admit card at jeemain.nta.ac.in. Candidates are required to carry the admit card to the exam hall.
The JEE Main 2024 admit card will include information such as the exam date, shift timings, exam centre address, guidelines, and more.The NTA will conduct the JEE Mains exam in two shifts. Shift 1 will run from 9 AM to 12 PM, followed by shift 2 from 3 PM to 6 PM.

How to download JEE Main session 2 Admit Card once released:
Step 1: Go to the official website of JEE Main 2024 at jeemain.nta.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on the “JEE Main admit card 2024” link.
Step 3: Choose ‘Through application number and password’.
Step 4: Enter the application number and password.
Step 5: Click on ‘Sign In’.
Step 6: The admit card for JEE Main will appear on the display.
Step 7: Download and print out the admit card for future use.

What is the examination pattern for JEE Mains?
The JEE Main Paper Pattern for 2024, specifically Paper 1 for B.E/B.Tech, follows a structured format with various particulars.

  • Exam Mode and Duration: The examination is conducted in a computer-based format, with a total duration of 3 hours.
  • Language of Examination: Candidates can opt for the examination in multiple languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
  • Type of Questions: The questions in JEE Main Paper 1 consist of multiple choice questions (MCQs) as well as questions with numerical values as answers.
  • Sections and Total Questions: The paper is divided into three sections: Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Each section contains a total of 30 questions, making it 90 questions in total. Within each section, there are 20 MCQs and 10 questions with answers as numerical values. Out of these 10 numerical value questions, 5 are compulsory.
  • Total Marks: The maximum marks that can be obtained in JEE Main 2024 is 300, with each section carrying 100 marks.
  • Negative Marking: For MCQs, candidates will receive four marks for each correct answer, with a deduction of one mark for each wrong answer. Similarly, for questions with numerical value answers, four marks will be awarded for correct answers, and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
