Maharashtra: Fire breaks out at scrap godown in Bhiwandi, none injured | Mumbai News – Times of India | IIT EXPERT



MUMBAI: A massive fire erupted at a scrap warehouse in the Bhiwandi area of Maharashtra on Saturday night, as reported by fire officer Shailesh Shinde.

Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far. Two fire tenders promptly responded to the incident.
The warehouse stored various items like wooden ply, plastic, paper, and cardboard, with around 15-20 warehouses engulfed in flames.Some vehicles were also affected by the fire. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
Firefighters are currently struggling to contain the blaze due to a shortage of water. It is estimated that it may take up to five to six hours to fully extinguish the fire if a sufficient water source is located. Further updates on the situation are anticipated as the operation continues.
