More Holi special trains announced by Western, Central Railway

MUMBAI: For the convenience of passengers and with a view to meet the travel demand during this Holi season, Western Railway has decided to run a special train on special fare between Mumbai Central – Howrah, an official said on Sunday.
Train No. 08844 Mumbai Central – Howrah special will depart from Mumbai Central on March 27 while return train No. 08843 Howrah – Mumbai Central will depart from Howrah on March 25. En route this train will halt Borivali, Boisar, Vapi, Valsad, Bhestan, Nandurbar, Bhusaval, Badnera, Nagpur, Gondia, Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Chakradharpur, Tatanagar and Kharagpur station in both directions.
The Central Railway, which earlier announced running of 112 Holi special trains, will now run 12 additional specials to clear the rush of passengers during the festive season, an official said on Sunday. This includes CSMT-Danapur-CSMT, CSMT -Gorakhpur-CSMT, Pune-Danapur-Pune Superfast, Pune -Gorakhpur-Pune Superfast and Panvel -Chappra-Panvel Weekly.
The WR also announced it will extend trips of the superfast special train between Bandra Terminus and Jabalpur.
