Second Vande Bharat to link Ahmedabad-Mumbai from March 12 | Mumbai News – Times of India | IIT EXPERT



MUMBAI: On March 12, a second Vande Bharat Express connecting Ahmedabad and Mumbai Central is set to commence its operations.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to inaugurate various railway projects and open multiple train services across India on March 12.
According to a senior official, the train’s inauguration ceremony will take place in Ahmedabad.
As per the time table finalised, the train will depart from Ahmedabad at 6:10 am and arrive at Mumbai Central at 11:35 pm. On its return journey, it will leave Mumbai Central at 3:55 pm and reach Ahmedabad at 9:25 pm.
The first Vande Express, connecting Mumbai Central, Ahmedabad, and Gandhinagar, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi on Sept 30, 2022.
The average daily ridership for this train between Mumbai Central and Gandhinagar was 142%, with 1,596 passengers. On the return route, the ridership was 146%, with an average of 1646 passengers per day. –
